On July 7, a briefing was held for firms participating in Asia AM Show '98. The show will be held in Shanghai for three days, December 4-6, in the wake of a successful show held in Singapore last year. In addition to the briefing, firms were given their compartment assignments. In his address to participants, Chairman Takenori Ogata of the Asia AM Show Organizing Committee commented: "The number of compartments totaled 167, a slight decrease from the previous show. But given the current economic conditions, I think we are doing fairly well. The local organizations have high expectations for the show. I ask you for your cooperation in making this event a success." After an explanation by the representative director of the events leading to the signing of the Agreement in Beijing, personnel responsible for the show briefed participants on minor points regarding entry. Then, formal assignment of compartments was undertaken. The opening ceremony for the show is scheduled for 9:00 a.m., on December 4. A reception will be held from 6:00 p.m. of the same day. | |||
