Events for Fifth Game Day Decided

The Game Day has been established by three organizations: JAMMA, the All Nippon Amusement Machine Operators' Amusement Union (AOU; Shozo Irie, Chairman) and the Nihon Shopping Center Amusement Park Operators Association (NSA; Hiroshi Uchida, Chairman). It is held on November 23 each year, and this year will mark its fifth year. The Game Day aims to foster communication between the amusement industry and the local community, highlight the sound, innovative, and cultural nature of the industry, and promote social awareness and understanding of the industry.
Again this year, posters will be put up in and around game centers to show that games are amusement that all people can easily enjoy. In addition, there will be events in 9,000 game centers nationwide such as "Amusement Love Aid" to introduce the fun of games to people who do not usually have the opportunity to enjoy them. The names of visitors who fill out a questionnaire will be drawn by lottery and the winners will receive coupons for complimentary travel, prepaid cards, and other presents.
