■38th AM Show To Appeal as a Business Show
Participation of Non-member Overseas Companies Through Japanese Distributors
The Amusement Machine Show has a long history as a comprehensive exhibit of amusement and entertainment industry and is well-known in both Japan and abroad for displaying the latest amusement machines under one roof. This year's 38th AM Show will be held for three days from September 21 (Thurs.) to 23 (Sat./national holiday) at Tokyo Big Sight, the same venue as last year.

The Show Committee (Mr. Yoshihito Kakihara, JAMMA Committee Chairman) held its first meeting on February 24. It discussed proposals for the AM Show operation from the Show Organizing Committee (Mr. Katsuki Manabe, Chairman) and decided the overall organization. The show will be shortened to three days and focus on its appeal as a business show. At the same time, other changes were made to resolve problems that came up last year. Participating companies will limit holding their own events to the business day. Same-day registration will be allowed on the business day, the second day of the show, for business visitors who have difficulty obtaining invitational tickets from participating companies. Furthermore, if a company sets up an exhibit for special clients in the booth, it will also be required to exhibit the same machines in the general exhibition space.

In addition, the policy was changed to allow non-member overseas companies to participate through Japanese distributors. Unlike the previous shows, companies will no longer be able to exhibit in associations and groups, but on an individual company basis only.

The deadline for the application and booth fee is June 21.
