■Results of FY2000 Game Center Survey
 The All Nippon Amusement Machine Operators' Union (AOU) has provided abridged results of its FY2000 game center survey. Results that are of special interest to the Japan Amusement Machinery Manufacturers Association (JAMMA) are listed below.

Survey Term: November 1, 2000 to December 15, 2000
Respondents: 14,740

  There was a slight increase in the number of male users over the previous year.

1. Purpose for going to game centers
  The Japan Amusement Machinery Manufacturers Association (JAMMA) has provided abridged results of the FY2000 game center survey conduc-ted with operator organizations. Results that are of special interest to JAMMA are listed below.

2. Frequency per Month
 The number of users who visit a game center between 1 to 5 times a month was over 60%. The percentage of heavy users who go 16 times or more increased over the previous year.

16 to 20 times 5.3%

3. Time Spent per Visit
 More than half of all respondents spend 1.5 hours or less per visit. Those spending more than 2 hours totaled 23.5%
