Promoting new businesses including the establishing of a mileage program

 The Japan Amusement Machinery Manufacturers Association (JAMMA) held its 15th regular general meeting from 4 p.m., May 22 (Thursday), 2003, at the 'Atlantic Room' on the 1st Floor of Hotel Ohkura, Toranomon, Minato-ku, Tokyo.

 Before moving on to general business, JAMMA Chairman Yoshihito Kakihara as well as Mr. Yoshifumi Fujita, section chief of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, presented their respective greeting.

 Chaired by Chairman Kakihara, the general meeting proceeded in accordance with the Article of the Association, while Managing Director, Kazuharu Takahashi was taking the lead as moderator.

 At the beginning of the agenda, Fiscal 2002 reports on business and settlement of accounts as well as a report on change of the members were presented and approved unanimously as originally presented.

 Then Fiscal 2003 business plans and budget plan were discussed and approved unanimously.

 New business plans include important objectives such as 'establishing a mileage program and a recycling system' and 'a measure to deal with consumption tax'.

 FY 2003 JAMMA have taken the first step toward the further development of the industry.
