As its theme was ''Welcome to the amusement world'', 44th Amusement Machine Show was held during September 14th (thu) to 16th (sat) in the hall of #4-6 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba. Referring to the hosts and sponsors, it was hosted by the two main hosts that Japan Amusement Machine Industry Association, JAMMA and Japan Amusement Park Equipment Association, JAPEA. It was also supported by Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and Nihon Keizai Shinbun, Inc. The number of Exhibitor this year was 53 companies (was 52 last year), and the number of exhibitors' booth this year was 868 (was 879 last year). The number of visitors was 27,452 people for first 2 business days. The number of visitors for public day was 19,264 people. The number of visitors was increased (gain 3,766 people) from last year. It enjoyed a stronger-than-expected turnout compared with last year especially the family visitors. The number of the machine was about 2200 including game machines, amusement parks, peripheral devices and related products. The Selected models from all the companies seized the public's attention on consecutive day. We held five seminars and had special guests who active in the front lines on the business days for the new initiative. Each class had many students more than we expected. We also had a charity auction for the first time in past 6 years on the last day. 33 articles were listed from the member companies and organizer. The total sale proceed was 275 thousand and 20yen and it was donated to Social Welfare Corporation YOMIURI LIGHT AND HUMANITY ASSOCIATION. It made an appeal for the contribution to society. |
