48th Amusement Machine Show will be held from September 9th through 11th for 3 days at Makuhari Messe in Chiba with the theme "Let us all Enjoy!" The large decrease of the number of exhibitors and their booths strongly reflects the current harsh environment of the industry. The number of 32 exhibitors with 573 booths is slightly less than the last year. We will use 2 halls for the event.

Same as last year, "48th Amusement Machine Show Seminar" will be held during the first 2 business days with even richer contents. In contrast to previous exhibitions, seminars will be held at a single venue. For the public day, a charity auction will be held which forms an important part of our social service.

On the 29th of June, a meeting was held at Square Kojimachi in Yotsuya, Tokyo, where the outline of the event was described for the expected exhibitors. This year, as some regulations for exhibitors are deregulated, more detailed descriptions were given on security issues.

In the meeting, Mr. Shigeichi Ishimura, the event manager, gave the following comment: "We hope that this event will be a model for exhibiting potential strength of our industry. Also, we as a whole make this event stimulative not only domestically, but also internationally. As is in the comment, we are striving for the event to be successful so that it provides a positive impact for the industry.
